The BBC announced its lead presenter line-up for a new look, soon-to-be-launched, news channel on Tuesday. As first reported in The Addition newsletter, there are five lead presenters in total. They are:
- Matthew Amroliwala
- Christian Fraser
- Yalda Hakim
- Lucy Hockings
- Maryam Moshiri
Two on-air presenting roles in Washington DC will be announced in the near future.
In a statement, Deborah Turness, CEO of BBC News, said:
This team’s editorial leadership, talent, knowledge and flair make them the ideal presenters to bring the BBC’s trusted journalism to people at home in the UK and around the globe, and to guide audiences through the big stories as they break.
