Popular sci-fi series “Foundation” is returning to Apple TV+ for a second season. It will premiere on July 14. There is a new trailer as well, which dropped on Wednesday:

To be honest, I couldn’t really get into the show, which is based on the books of the same name by Isaac Asimov. Indeed, I suspect it is more impactful if you were a fan of the original books. However, it did prove something of a hit for the streamer – not a “Ted Lasso” or “Severance” sized hit, but it had a dedicated fan base. They will be pleased to see it back on their screens.

In other Apple TV+ news, the dystopian drama “Silo” has been renewed for a second season. Making the announcement, Matt Cherniss, head of programming for the streamer, said:

It has been enormously fulfilling to see the engrossing, atmospheric and beautifully crafted sci-fi epic ‘Silo’ quickly become Apple’s number one drama series. As audiences around the world have become gripped by the mysteries and conspiracies buried within this fascinating subterranean world, viewership only continues to climb, and we are so excited for more secrets of the silo to be revealed in season two.
