The trailer for “The Morning Show” season three has dropped. And it looks… a lot. The season will premiere on September 13.
“The Morning Show” stars Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon as breakfast television anchors. The latest trailer is only short, but it seems that, as ever with this series, there are power grabs going on and it is going to be impossible to tell who, if anyone, is actually the good guy. The interactions between Aniston and Witherspoon look particularly compelling.
There is also a seriously impressive ensemble cast in the latest set of episodes. Alongside the returning Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee and Julianna Margulies will be newcomers Jon Hamm, of “Mad Men” fame and Nicole Beharie, star of “American Violet” and “Sleepy Hollow”.
“The Morning Show” was one of the first series to hit Apple TV+ when the service launched in 2019. I enjoyed the first season but did not really like season two. Bluntly, I thought it was a mess as it tried to weave the Covid pandemic into previously set-up storylines. Let’s hope things pack more of a punch this time around. The trailer certainly suggests they might.
