Apple TV+ has released the trailer for the upcoming movie “Flora and Son”. It all looks rather charming.
The premise is that single mother Flora (Eve Hewson) wants to occupy her naughty son Max (Orén Kinlan), so she tries getting him to play guitar. It does not quite work. Luckily, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is on hand to teach her guitar and everyone learns the joy of music.
You will notice there are some rather nice Apple product placement opportunities too.
Gordon-Levitt has already appeared on Apple TV+. He starred in the comedy series “Mr Corman” on the platform. However, as Deadline reported at the time, that show was not renewed. The actor also voiced the character of Luxcraft in the streamer’s animated series “Wolfboy and the Everything Factory”
“Flora and Son” will be out in theatres from September 22nd and on Apple TV+ from September 29th. I’m not sure it will be the most original movie of the year, or that it will replicate the Oscar’s success of “CODA”, but it seems like it could be quite fun.
