As well as the World Cup, there are the Commonwealth Games this summer. TNT Sports is the rightsholder, showing every medal live on linear TV or HBO Max. They announced last week that they have done a deal with 5 so that there is also free-to-air coverage, too. 5 will show highlights from Glasgow 2026 daily.

“We’re delighted to be working with TNT Sports to bring the biggest sports stars – from Adam Peaty to Amy Hunt and Dina Asher-Smith – to a free-to-air audience in the UK,” added 5’s Chief Content Officer Ben Frow.
