Apple is getting close to securing the deal to Michael Lewis’ book covering the rise and fall of Sam Bankman-Fried and FTX, Deadline reported.

Lewis is, of course, the man behind hits like “Moneyball” and “The Big Short”, which both star Brad Pitt. The former was directed by Adam McKay, who may also be involved in the depiction of SBF/FTX. In typical fashion, Lews found himself in the right place at the right time and was with the fallen crypto king for six months prior to the collapse of his company (and the entire crypto market).

If Apple does secure the rights, it will have seen off the likes of Netflix and Amazon, who were also understood to want to get their hands on the work. It would no doubt be a big lure to Apple TV+ and might even do well on the awards circuit.
