The Ashes, North London Derby: What to Watch This Weekend, 22nd-23rd November

The Ashes

First Test: England head down under to try and win the urn away from home for the first time in 15 years. The tourists have a strong pace attack, but the top order is in poor form. The Aussies will be without skipper Pat Cummins. Steve Smith leads the team in his absence… The action in the first Test starts at 2.20am GMT/9.20pm ET on Thursday, 20th November and could last until Monday, 24th November. (Yes, I’m being optimistic.). You can watch it on TNT Sports/Discovery+ in the UK and on Willow in the US.

Premier League

Arsenal vs Spurs: The international break is over, and the Premier League is back. Thank goodness for that. The North London Derby is the final fixture of the weekend, and also the standout one. After a slip-up against Sunderland, Mikel Arteta’s side needs a win to keep their title charge going. Victory, or even a point, would earn Tottenham boss Thomas Frank some credit with frustrated fans. It kicks off at 4.30pm GMT/11.30am ET on Sunday, 23rd November. You can watch it on Sky Sports in the UK and on Peacock in the US.
