The England v Italy Euro 2025 semi-final last night was watched by a peak of 10.2 million across all devices, according to ITV. This includes both the linear channel and its streaming service. It was the broadcaster’s biggest of the audience of the year so far. On average 8 million viewers were watch watching as the Lionesses eventually overcame Le Azzure in extra time.
The game also provided ITV with its biggest audience of 2025 in the crucial 16-34 demographic for overnight ratings. In total there were 17.2 million streams of the nail-biting game, per the company.
Lionesses Look to Final After Italy Win
The Lionesses win against Italy means they have made it to Euro 2025 final. It will be third consecutive major tournament in which Sarrina Wiegman’s side has reached the final. The game will be broadcast on both the BBC and ITV. Kick-off is at 5pm BST/12pm EST.
Laura Woods is presenting form Basel for ITV. She will be alongside former Arsenal striker Ian Wright, USWNT head coach Emma Hayes and former England international Karen Carney. Wright was in the studio for the Lionesses vs Italy, the first time he has appeared at Euro 2025 after (unfair) cricticism from Eni Aluko. The BBC has not yet officially confirmed their lineup. It will likely be former England internationals Alex Scott, Ellen White and Fara Williams in the studio. Robyn Cowan shoudl be leading the commentary alongside another former Lioness, Rachel Brown-Finnis, as happened in 2022.
